President Wishart held his first general assembly on Thursday, July 20, 2017, during the regular Thursday club meeting.  Wishart shared his vision for the 2017-18 and had his board chime in as well.
Inspiration and guidance for Wishart's vision for the club is found in:

  • Rotary International President Ian Riseley's presidential theme, Rotary:  Making a Difference including a challenge for all clubs to plant a tree for each member from now until Earth Day 2018 in April.  Also, celebrating 30 years of women in Rotary, Wishart hopes to continue our membership mix of males and females (our percentage of women in our club is higher than the national average.
  • Rotary District 5000 District Governor Nalani Flinn's them, Navigating Together to Change Lives.  Wishart would like to see the club seek out opportunities with other clubs in our district on events and community service projects.

The Rotary Club of Ala Moana's website was refreshed and unveiled at General Assembly as well.  Utilizing the tools in ClubRunner, the website has been updated with a cleaner interface, updated information and there is more to come!
